The UN Gigiri complex is about seven kilometres from the city centre and about 16 kilometres from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The taxi fare from the airport to Gigiri is approximately 1,000-1,400 Kenya shillings and from the city centre it is about 800 shillings. If you don't mind travelling in a public vehicle, the fare is 15 to 35 shillings, depending on whether or not it is the rush hour. If you are travelling from the city centre you can board a matatu at the (Old Nation) roundabout, junction between Tom Mboya/River Road.. They are marked 106 or 108.
