Media Accreditation
Media outreach is essential to successfully fulfilling the United Nations information centre's core function of communicating information about the work of the United Nations to governments, civil society and the world at large.
UNIC manages press accreditation on behalf of all United Nations entities for media events, conferences and seminars held in the country and it maintains a roster of accredited journalists.
As part of its media outreach, UNIC offers advice and support for other UN offices and Programmes working in the country. It helps design information strategies, organizes press conferences, disseminates timely information for the media and facilitates field visits for journalists who want to cover UN activities in the area.
