UN Internship
Internship Programme at the United Nations Office in Nairobi
The United Nations has different Agencies worldwide which offer opportunities for interested students globally to carryout their internship. The aim of the internship Programme is to provide students with practical experience to complement their field of study and to expose to students a better understanding of the United Nations, its operations, policies and Programmes.
The internship assignment takes place within or without the United Nations offices depending on where they are located. The UN Secretariat has two working languages, French and English in which interns are supposed to be fluent in one. The Staff Development unit office identifies Agencies that need interns and match the intern’s competencies with the appropriate Agency. Upon identification and confirmation, the students are given a chance to carry out their internship.
