| Mission Statement:
| The mission of the organization, as envisaged in the Chicago Convention, is to promote the safe, efficient and orderly development of civil aviation in the World. ICAO sets international standards necessary for the safety, security and efficiency of air transport and serves as the coordinator for international cooperation in all area of civil aviation.

| Agency Activities:
| The development and implementation of the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Regional Supplementary Procedures (SUPPs) as appropriate; air transport Programmes and policies in the economic, statistical, aviation security and facilitation fields including provision of advice and assistance to states as necessary.
