UN Nairobi staff members honoured with UN 21 awards

23 September 2008 –Yesterday the Director General, UNON Mrs Anna Tibaijuka presided over the presentation of UN 21 Awards for the United Nations Office at Nairobi staff members. The UN Secretary General had organized an award giving ceremony in New York to honour the winners, which they were not able to attend. The staff members Charles Emer, Francis Gichomo, Nasser Ega-Musa and Stephen Macharia were part of the team which was awarded for valuable contribution in the implementation of the Department of Public Information (DPI's) iSeek project.
Other members presented with awards were Mr Samuel Kimata and Mr Francis Gichomo for being part of the DM's project "Global Contact Directory" winning project.
