Iseek launched in Nairobi.
04 September 2007 - Colleagues in Nairobi officially joined iSeek, the Secretariat's global internal communications platform, on Tuesday, 4 September 2007.
All staff in Nairobi, which include the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-HABITAT), now have iSeek as their default intranet platform when they switch on their computers at work.
Staff members contributing content to iSeek since 2005 have made impressive strides towards building a sense of community for staff at UN duty stations and in the field. iSeek also helps staff carry out their work more quickly, efficiently and effectively by providing better access to administrative tools and knowledge sharing.
Nairobi joins Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Geneva and New York as full-fledged members of the iSeek community. Also participating are peacekeeping missions and UN Information Centres.
A warm welcome, Nairobi, to the iSeek community. We look forward to the information and experience, the knowledge, you can share with us. And we look forward to welcoming additional duty stations in the near future.
