Eric Falt takes up new position in New York

15 November 2007: After five years at the helm of UNEP’s Division of Communications and Public Information and the United Nations Information Centre in Nairobi, Eric Falt departed Kenya yesterday, 14 November, to take up his new position as Director, Outreach Division/DPI at UN HQ in New York.

Prior to his appointment in Nairobi, Eric served as Director of the United Nations Information Centre in Islamabad; Spokesman and Head of Information for the United Nations Office of the Humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq; Spokesman and Head of the Press and Information Office for the United Nations Mission in Haiti (UNMIH); and Spokesman for the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC).

Many colleagues in Nairobi bid Eric farewell and wished him well in his new position at headquarters.
