2006 - 5th Kenyan Model United Nations
The Kenya Model United Nations (KMUN) conference took place from 28 February to 3 March 2006, at the United Nations Complex in Gigiri.
Four hundred and fifty students representing nine Universities from Kenya attended the conference whose theme was “Thinking Globally, Acting Locally”. The United Nations Resident Co-coordinator Mr. Paul Andre de la Port officially opened the conference while the UNIC Director Mr. Eric Falt gave closing remarks after the four days conference.
Mr. Falt expressed his appreciation to the organizers underlining that KMUN is one of the unique MUN forums representing Kenyan students.During the conference delegates deliberated on issues that are pertinent to those that are discussed at the real UN such as the implementation of the Millennium development Goals (MDGs).
