Kenya Model United Nations holds it's 4th Conference at Gigiri

Kenya Model United Nations is holding it's 4th Annual Conference at UNEP Complex, Gigiri from 1- 4 March 2005. KMUN is made up of university students, and is a simulation of the United Nations. Kenya Model United Nations is wholly student run, and the conference is facilitated by the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC). The universities involved are Moi, Kenyatta, Daystar, Strathmore, USIU- Africa, Africa Nazarene, University of Nairobi- Law and Lower Kabete Campus. Egerton and Kabarak are observers.

80 countries are represented by the various students in the committees: Human Rights, African Issues, Poverty Reduction, Information and Communication Technology, The Security Council and the International Court of Justice.

KMUN does not only conference, it is involved in other activities: it has an annual community service project dubbed National RIOT Community Service Project.
